Green Bean
The string bean is a vegetable belonging to the legume family, Fabaceaes (Papilionaceae). It originated in South America and is available all year round. The part consumed is the pod, which is thin and elongated, green or yellow in colour depending on the variety.
Harvested unripe beans can be eaten raw or cooked. Served as a side dish, it is much appreciated for its freshness and crunchy taste. In addition, it has many benefits: rich in vitamins and minerals.
