Bean Flat Coco
In the same family as the green bean, the flat bean is a member of the leguminous or Fabaceae
(Papilionaceae). It originates from Latin America and can be found on French market stalls throughout the year.
Unlike the green bean, the flat bean has an elongated, thin pod with a flattened husk, hence its name! It is also more fleshy and has a crunchier and more delicious texture in the mouth than the green bean. This variety of bean sometimes takes on a yellow colour, as is the case with the butter bean.
