Conference Pear

The **pear** only made its entry into France in the 16th century, but today it has been widely adopted by the French. It has an elongated shape covered with smooth skin, the color of which ranges from green to yellow. Available on stalls throughout the year, it comes in several varieties. Its mild flavor, sweet and juicy flesh make it the 6th most consumed fruit in France.

The pear is also a very low-calorie fruit, rich in complex carbohydrates (slow-release sugars), fiber, and vitamins.
