Hokkaido squash

**Hokkaido squash** (Potimarron) is a vegetable belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family. It has a round shape and a reddish-orange color that is particularly popular with children. In taste, the Hokkaido squash has a flavor that perfectly combines a sweet softness and a creamy texture.

Hokkaido squash can be used in several preparations. These range from pumpkin soup (*velouté*) to flan, including gratin, compote, jam, etc. In short, it adapts to all specialties and all tastes.

Despite its rather significant density, Hokkaido squash is very low in calories. It is therefore a particularly satiating food without adding much to the scale! Ideal for losing weight and keeping fit, it is also very rich in nutrients: minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.
